What Church Name Should I use When I Apply for Google for Nonprofits?

Use your church’s legal name when filling out this form. When we build Google Ads for your church, we can use whatever name your church uses in marketing and branding. But when filling out the Google for Nonprofits application form, use your legal church name.

Google (and their partner company Goodstack (formerly called Percent) are going to use your EIN and church name to verify your nonprofit status with the IRS. If that EIN and church name don’t match, it’s going to slow the process down. So make sure you submit this form with the EIN, name, and address that the IRS has on file for your church.
