What should I do when people ask for money/help in response to my Prayer Ad?

It is very common to get responses like this, and we, as local churches, aren't equipped to meet every physical need (which is why it's so great that we can connect people to local organizations to help). For these people, we recommend making a list of local organizations that can help with money and needs.

Some of the people who respond to your ad will say they can't come to church because they don't have a ride, but in those cases, we recommend asking, "do you know anyone with a car who could give you a ride?". Surprisingly, that question can often solve that problem - they likely have a neighbor, cousin, etc. who can drive them to church (and then an extra person comes to church as well!

But don't worry, this happens to every church that runs prayer ads. We just recommend being as compassionate as you can, offering them prayer, and then sending the list of resources!
