Setting Up Your Software Wallet

What This Solves

This walkthrough helps you prevent text message interruptions when you send higher volumes of texts. By setting up your wallet, any SMS overages are automatically covered so your messages keep sending without issues.

Text overages are inexpensive, just over a penny per message, but without a wallet set up, sending can pause when limits are reached.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to add or update a payment method
  • Where to find the Wallet settings
  • How auto-recharge works
  • How to manually add funds if you prefer more control

Quick Steps

  1. Log in to your Church Fuel software.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Go to Billing.
  4. Select Payments.
  5. Add a new payment method, or click the pencil icon to edit an existing one if it has expired.
  6. Once a payment method is on file, click Wallet.

Choose one of the following options:

    • Auto-Recharge
      • Enable auto-recharge.
      • Set an amount, for example $10, to recharge when the balance drops below your chosen threshold.

        Manual Balance

      • Add a specific dollar amount to the wallet.
      • Text messages will deduct from the balance until it runs out, then you can add more as needed.
  7. Save your changes.

Notes

  • Even churches that send a high volume of text messages typically stay well under their wallet limit.
  • Auto-recharge prevents any disruption in texting and keeps things running quietly in the background.
  • You can adjust or disable auto-recharge at any time from the Wallet screen.
  • Manual balance is a good option if you want tighter control over spending.
