How to Send a Done-for-You Email

Purpose
This article shows you how to find Church Fuel’s monthly done-for-you emails, preview them, customize them for your church, and send now or schedule for later. These emails are professionally written, ready to send, and designed to help you communicate consistently without spending hours writing.
When to Use This
Use this when you want to:
- Send a monthly done-for-you email to your church with minimal effort
Prerequisites
Before you begin, confirm you have:
- Access to Marketing and Emails in the Church Fuel software
- A sender email and sender name you plan to use
- The correct recipient list ready (Smart List or tag if you are targeting a group)
Steps
1) Find the Done-for-You Email Templates
- Log in to your Church Fuel software.
- In the left menu, click Marketing.
- Click Emails.
- Click Create Campaign.
- Choose Email Marketing Templates.
This section contains every done-for-you email currently available in your account.
2) Preview an Email Before Using It
- Scroll through the list of available templates.
- Click Preview on any email to read it before choosing it.
- Remember: these are editable. You can adjust wording, tone, and links.
If you like the email, continue to the next step.
3) Load the Template Into Your Account
- Click Choose on the email you want to use.
- The system will import the template and prepare it for editing.
Once it loads, you will see:
- Your church logo
- Custom values (merge fields) for name, church name, URLs, and more
- The full email content ready to edit
Important: Do not delete custom values. They automatically insert the correct church info.
4) Review and Edit the Email
- Read through the email.

Make edits so it sounds like your church.
Click Preview and confirm:
- Custom values filled correctly
- Buttons link to the right place
- Layout looks good on desktop and mobile
- Double-check links by clicking them inside the preview window.
5) Prepare to Send
- Click Send/Schedule.

Add your Sender Email and Sender Name.
Choose a strong Subject Line.
- You can pull one from inside the email
- Or generate options by pasting the email into ChatGPT and asking for subject lines
- Optional: Add preview text (helpful on mobile inboxes).
6) Choose Who Receives the Email
Under Recipients, choose one:
- All Contacts
- A Smart List
- A Tag
- A Prebuilt Segment
This tells the system exactly who should receive your email.
7) Send or Schedule

Click Review and double-check everything.
Choose:
- Send Now
- Schedule for later (select your date and time)
Your email will send immediately or at the scheduled time.
Notes
- Always preview before sending to confirm custom values and links display correctly.
- Use Smart Lists to target specific groups when needed (volunteers, newcomers, prayer team, and more).
- Scheduling helps you plan multiple emails at once and build a consistent communication rhythm.
